In short

This site has no ads and no third-party trackers, and I don't sell data.

I'm curious how many people read the pages and use the tools. I don't need to know who you are to count that, so I don't record your IP address.

Views and tools

When you open a CV, a diary entry or a tool, the site writes one row: what was opened, the day and a visitor hash. The hash is made from your IP address, the name of your browser and the date, with a secret key. I don't store the address itself, and the hash can't be turned back into it. The next day the same visitor gets a different hash, so even I can't link two days of one person.

For a tool the site notes two things: it was opened, and something was done in it. I don't record what you do there.

I keep the rows for 365 days, and then they're deleted. I don't count search engine crawlers.

Cookies and browser storage

The only cookies here are the ones the site needs to work. NEXT_LOCALE holds your language. The rest appear on the sign-in page and after it: they protect the form and keep the session, which lasts 7 days. There are no ad or analytics cookies, so there's no banner either: there's nothing to agree to.

A QR code and a picture in the Media Editor are made right in your browser. The editor's draft and its panel layout stay there too and aren't sent to the server. Clear the site's data in your browser and all of it is gone.

Accounts

There are no public accounts on this site, and none are planned for the near future. Only I and my AI agents have accounts.

Logs and protection

The site is behind Cloudflare. Cloudflare takes each request first, sees your IP address and filters out attacks. Its own policy says what it does with data.

My server keeps a request log: the time, the page address, the status code, the browser and the page the request came from. Your IP address isn't in the log: the server sees Cloudflare's address, not yours. The log is kept for 30 days.

To stop password guessing, the site remembers failed sign-ins for up to 15 minutes: the IP address and the login. They stay in the server's memory and aren't written to disk.

Where it is kept

I rent the server from Hetzner, and it's in Germany. Database backups are in Cloudflare R2 storage and are deleted after 90 days, so something deleted from the site stays in the backups until then. The data goes nowhere else.

Aiko

Aiko is my app for Windows and macOS. Once a day each installed copy asks the site which version is the latest and reports its own version, the operating system, whether the personality is on, whether this is its first run of the week and of the month, and an identifier that changes every day. The site doesn't read or store an IP address when it does. I keep these rows for 90 days. The details are in PRIVACY.md in the Aiko repository.

Your rights and contact

I'm responsible for the data on this site: Aleksandr Fomichenko. I run it alone, so I'll answer your email myself: [email protected].

I count views and keep a log for two reasons: I want to know what gets read, and I protect the site.

You can ask what I hold about you, ask me to correct or delete it, and object to the processing. I'll answer within 30 days. If my answer doesn't settle it, you can complain to the data protection authority in your country.

One thing I can't do is find your views. The hash is there so that nobody can be found by it, and that includes me.

Changes

When I change this text, I update the date at the top.
